68 years of making lives better: PHINMA employees, students and community partners give back
PHINMA celebrated 68 years of making lives better with various outreach activities throughout November engaging employees, students, friends and community partners in key locations across the country.
Over 3,000 PHINMA Heroes participated in this year’s PHINMA Reaches Out activities which included cleanups, seed potting and tree planting, blood drives, and e-waste collection. PHINMA Foundation Inc. (PFI), together with teachers and students from PHINMA schools and volunteers from the construction materials, property development, and hospitality segments, joined outreach activities in Metro Manila, Bataan, Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Rizal, Laguna, Cebu, and Davao.

“PHINMA Reaches Out is more than just CSR —it’s a platform that unites employees from across our business units to lend a helping hand and empower others in building a better future. Through this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to our mission of making lives better and driving meaningful change in the communities that need it most,” said PFI Executive Director Ron Ranier Reyes.
PHINMA Hospitality’s coastal cleanup near TRYP Mall of Asia along with heritage site cleanup in Capas National Shrine kicked off the Group’s volunteer activities for November. This was followed by initiatives like seed potting by PHINMA Foundation and PHINMA Construction Materials Group (PHINMA CMG) in Mt. Purro Nature Reserve; and blood drives by PHINMA Properties in developments Fountain Breeze, Arezzo Pasig, and Sofia Bellevue and PHINMA CMG in their Bataan, Laguna, and Davao sites.

Capping outreach activities for the month were PHINMA Education’s tree planting efforts in the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Cebu, mangrove planting in Iloilo and Dagupan City, cleanup drives in Calamba City and Sta. Cruz, Laguna; and coastal cleanup in Baseco Beach at Tondo, Manila.

“It’s important to take a break from ‘business as usual’ to devote time and energy for activities that contribute meaningfully to making lives better, reinforce the spirit of Bayanihan, and foster solidarity within the PHINMA family. We believe that each person regardless of age or status has the capacity for selfless service and can be a force for good,” said PFI President Nicole del Rosario-Serafica.
On November 19, the Group’s actual anniversary date, PHINMA also held a thanksgiving mass which was officiated by Fr. Flaviano Villanueva, SVD, and a leadership talk on navigating change with 2024 Ramon V. del Rosario Siklab awardees Ann Dumaliang of Masungi Georeserve, Ariestelo Asilo of Varacco Inc., and Raf Dionisio of Make A Difference (MAD) Travel.
Also coinciding with PHINMA’s anniversary month was the successful completion of its ₱1-billion stock rights offering (SRO) last November 27. Capital raised from the SRO shall support the Group’s investment and expansion opportunities directly addressing the most urgent needs of underserved Filipino families and communities.
