Celebrating Entrepreneurs and Nation-Builders at the RVR Awards 2024
This year’s Ramon V. del Rosario Awards is poised to recognize six exceptional individuals who embody outstanding corporate citizenship and a fervent commitment to nation-building. Organized by PHINMA, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Manila (formerly Manila Jaycees, Inc.), De La Salle University RVR College of Business, and Asian Institute of Management RVR Center for Corporate Responsibility, the RVR Award honors business icons demonstrating Entrepreneurial Spirit, National or Global Impact, Corporate Citizenship, and Social Responsibility. The RVR Awards has two categories, namely the Award for Nation Building and the Siklab Award.
Named after JCI Manila’s founding president and the “Father of Philippine Modern Industry,” the award marks six decades of JCI Manila’s dedication to driving positive change within communities.

Since its inception in 2009, the RVR Award for Nation Building pays tribute to the legacy of Ramon V. del Rosario, a visionary leader and one of the founders of PHINMA, whose contributions significantly shaped modern industries in the Philippines. The award serves as a platform to honor titans and trailblazers who exemplify exceptional corporate citizenship and a deep-seated commitment to nation-building.

This year’s RVR Nation Building Awardee was selected by an esteemed panel of judges, each renowned for their significant contributions to the nation. This year’s Board included notable figures such as former Chief Justice Artemio V. Panganiban, Ramon R. del Rosario, Jr., Manuel V. Pangilinan, Ambassador Jesus P. Tambunting, Victor J. del Rosario, Senen C. Bacani, Calel Gosingtian, and Ambassador Jose L. Cuisia.
The RVR Awards has recognized esteemed individuals such as Dr. Tony Tan-Caktiong (2022), Dr. Jaime Aristotle Alip (2019), Mr. Diosdado Banatao (2018), Mr. George S.K. Ty (2017), Mr. Henry Sy, Sr. (2016), Mr. Manuel Pangilinan (2015), Mr. Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala (2014), Mr. Vicente Paterno (2013), Mr. Washington Sycip (2012), Mr. Oscar Lopez (2011), Mr. Senen Bacani (2010), and Ambassador Jesus Tambunting (2010).

This year also celebrates young entrepreneurs through the RVR Siklab Awards, dedicated to recognizing and empowering Filipino leaders who exhibit a profound passion for entrepreneurship and social change. The awards program aims to amplify their impact by fostering collaboration among young entrepreneurs and cultivating the next generation of business leaders who will drive transformative action for our nation.
From over 100 nominations received this year, only five standout Siklab awardees have been selected to be honored at the awards night. They will join the ranks of fellow young entrepreneurs and changemakers: JB Tan, Melissa Yap, Clarissa Delgado, Gary Ayuste, Edgar Elago, Anya Lim, Stephen Michael Co, and Ralph Ray Chua.
Through this year’s RVR Awards, the organizing committee aims to inspire and spark hope among the country’s youth by celebrating the excellence, innovation, and resilience of six individuals worthy of emulation. The 2024 Ramon V. del Rosario Nation Building & Siklab Awards Night will be held on July 25, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 in the evening.
